I Love A Parade!!!
By Bill Dablow • Oct 19th, 2008 • Share:There are so many things that I love about October. The colors, the smell of burning leaves and the cool breezes. Playing on the road every weekend in a rock band takes me away from a good deal of community events. However, thanks to a well deserved hiatus, I had a chance to see the NDSCS homecoming parade this past Saturday. Living in an apartment on Dakota Avenue I literally have one of the best seats on the street. The parade was a nice “community” showing. The high school and college bands sounded great and the people on the floats seems to be having fun as well. I especially thought the Richland County Commissioners riding in a manure spreader with a sign that read (Richland County Commissioners At Work” was an especially nice touch! Then came the KBMW “blueberry” with the new morning show of Groff and Workman. Hopefully weren’t throwing candy overhand like Nolan Ryan or eating it all before the parade started. They are a handful! All in all the parade with another small town success and reminded me of one more thing that I love about living here.two
