Party with the rockstars Thursday night!

Well, if you’re not doing anything tonight (Thursday Nov. 20), and you don’t have to get up in the middle of the night like me (yes, I’m whining), make sure you head out to see 32 Below tonight at Legends. Not only are they a fun band to watch, but they’re truly good guys. I’ve worked with them many times in the past and even though they are easily the biggest band in our area in a long time, they are probably one of the most humble.

I’ve worked in the band scene in Fargo Moorhead, I was in a cover band for a year or so. 32 Below basically had no egos at all, they were always accomodating to the fans and the media. They have a solid mix of Country and Rock guaranteed to please just about everyone. PLUS, you get a buck off Red Bull drinks! Now that’s a fun night!!!

You can also pick up their new CD at the show as well. Visit 32 Below online at www.32below.net

Pleasent Dreams!!!

Until last Tuesday I thought sleep apnea was a smack upside the back of your head while you dozed off in class. Not the case. I attended my first sleep study and it not only closed my eyes, but it opened them as well. Apparently I have the Mount Everest of sleep apnea’s. My sleep doctor informed me that it’s possible that I haven’t slept a full night in years! Here I just thought it’s cause I like to party. To thumbnail it, I wasn’t aware that sleep apnea occurs when breathing passages constrict once you fall asleep. In short, it can get serious. So now I wait for my diagnostics to be reviewed and then I can get hooked up to a machine that makes me look vaguely like Dumbo. hey, if it makes me healthy, I’ll wear a lawn mower on my face. Sweet Dreams!

More interviews than you can shake a stick at.

Last week’s convention in Kansas City Missouri was a first for me. I have been to farm shows and Ag conferences before, I have talked with seed reps and implement dealers as a broadcaster and as a producer. These people are always happy to be helpful but at the National Association of Farm Broadcasting industry reps and crop promotion groups are threatened with having to talk. In a short four hours I talked with over 20 people about 4-H, seed traits, guidance systems and a whole host of Ag topics. Over the next few days you will find those interviews here. Keep checking as more will be added every day. Agriculture Secretary Ed Schafer started the conference off by answering questions about the USDA and the transition to a new administration.
