The sickness bug has hit the area hard.  Chances are if you haven’t gotten “the bug”, you know someone who has.  It has gone through my family.  My son and daughter both had the scratchy throat, stuffy head, stuffy nose, achy bones, etc.

My wife had it a couple weeks ago.  It is a rare thing for my wife to get sick.  She is a nurse, and I swear she is immune to most everything.  Normally, I go down with “the bug” way before my wife does.  This season she caught it, and I didn’t and I thought I was home-free…

I WAS WRONG!!!

It started coming on Monday.  The aches, sweats, scratchy throat, all of it.  I fought it as long as I could.  When I got home that night, my wife took one look at me, and knew I had caught it.  She took my temp, and it read 101.5 degrees.  I took some meds, and went to bed.  Woke up and felt a little better, but still didn’t feel like myself.

My symptoms:  body aches, stuffy head, stuffy nose, scratchy throat, and fever.

I know there are different strains of this bug going around the area.  I hope that you can avoid it.  Remember to take your vitamins, drink plenty of fluids, and get your rest.
