Second Beet Harvest Death in Two Days

A second man has died in as many days while working beet harvest in the southern valley. A Minn-Dak maintenance truck driver was killed. The accident happened one mile north of Highway 9 near the city of Campbell, Minnesota around 5:30 this (Saturday) morning. According to the Minnesota Highway Patrol, the truck with a crane left the roadway to the right and rolled.  Minn-Dak Farmer’s Cooperative confirmed that it was one of their beet piler repair vehicles. The Minnesota Highway Department has not released the name of the victim pending the notification of the family.
