Little Water, Little Sun, Little Family

Last week I mentioned that I live in a world of noise. This past weekend found me floating around on a spacious pontoon catching bass and walleyes. No noise except for the occasional loon or sea gull. Heaven!!!Between my job here and my band, this is the first chance I’ve had to fish or relax for that matter since last year! The band played for the dragon boaters in Bemidji Minnesota on Saturday night. We played on the lake front and had a blast. The rest of the weekend was spent at my sister and brother in laws lake cabin. I took my two dogs to add to my sisters two. It was canine chaos but it was fun to watch them all having fun.  Outside of the band there was no agenda. This is one of many reasons I love to be there. The only requirement is to relax and be yourself. No hassles, no dead lines, just sweet seclusion. Hope all your weekends can be this peaceful.

Allow me to indulge about my family here. I can’t say enough about my sister Mary. Do you have some one in your family who makes you “feel good” just being around them? People in your family who bring out the best in you without really trying? That would be my sister. What a blessing! No pretense, no judgements or big expectations. Just a genuinely good person who could calm down any stressed out soul just by being in the room. I hope you all have some one like this close to you.
